Gekijō-ban Kousagi Zayats: Ōkami Gundan no Sekai Seifuku Keikaku (Kanji: 劇場版子兎ザヤツ 狼軍団の世界征服計画) is a 1979 anime film produced by Shinada-sha (currently Studio XYZ).

Plot (WIP)[]

The film begins in the Wolf Zeppelin (the Wolf Army's established hideout in Shin Kousagi Zayats), where Volk looks upon the horizon before Khamlyon barges in screaming, asking about his plan for today. Volk laughs and pulls out a scroll where the plan is described in detail:

  • Okta captures any and every fishing boat across his path.
  • Kuromaru steals from towns before Rhinos destroys them.
  • Kat seduces the males into submission to the Wolf Army.
  • Khamlyon plays painful tricks on strangers and Minos kills those who refuse to join them.

Zayats is relaxing on a hill until he overhears a loud, familiar voice: Volk announces his new plan to take over the world. Zayats begins to panic and run off, slamming Mano face first into the ground in the process. In a meadow full of flowers, Lucille picks some for her "future prince" before hearing an infuriated Mano run in with a baseball bat. Both Mano and Lucille realize that Zayats wasn't watching his step, and was panicking over something.

That's when Zayats himself comes running and Mano bashes him with his baseball bat as a punishment for stepping on him. Lucille attempts to ask him what's wrong, but to no avail, as Zayats runs away calling for Leonidas's help. When they get to Leonidas, Zayats finally manages to explain his panic: the Wolf Army is plotting to take over the world and kill all those who attempt to run away. This is when Leonidas decides that they're going on what might be the greatest adventure of their lives. Before Zayats can head off, Leonidas and Lucille explain to him that they need something to carry items on.

The gang arrives at an almost completely destroyed village, of course at the hands of the Wolf Army. Zayats then finds a perfectly good house and tries to look for anyone inside. This is where he meets a raccoon named Pokota, who tried to attack Zayats because his father was killed by a rabbit, leading him to believe that all rabbits are murderers. Zayats manages to convince him otherwise and earn his trust. Pokota meets the rest of Zayats's friends and falls in love with Lucille. Zayats and his friends know just the responsible for taking out Pokota's father: Minos. After a while, Pokota approaches Lucille and asks her out. This turns Lucille red for a few seconds before she comes back into her senses. Pokota however refuses to explain Zayats what he did.

That's when they're stopped on their tracks by Khamlyon and Minos. Minos approaches Pokota, points his sword at him and threatens to take him down, revealing himself to be the one responsible for the death of Pokota's father. Khamlyon backs this up saying that he deserved it for refusing to become part of the Wolf Army. Leonidas confronts Khamlyon as he asks them to join the Wolf Army. When they refuse, Minos attacks the group and attempts to kill Lucille before being briefly stopped by Pokota. His words mean nothing to Minos however, as him calling Lucille his "beloved" only succeeds in making Minos want to kill her even more. Before Minos can do anything else, he gets hit in the head with Mano's baseball bat. Khamlyon threatens to tell on them as he picks Minos up and runs away. Pokota is left audibly hungry, leading Leonidas to pull out his shichirin and everyone has a snack. After having some fish, Zayats asks Pokota about him calling Lucille his beloved, making Lucille blush and Mano laugh. Zayats joked about it through the night.

The next morning, the shichirin is nowhere to be seen. It doesn't take long for the gang to realize that they've been robbed, and set off to find the one responsible for the theft. Soon enough, the gang is starving from having not eaten all day. Mano looks up the sky and notices what appears to be a flying city. A cab driver shows up and offers them a ride there in what turns out to be a flying cab, all the way to the Sky City.

Once in the Sky City, everyone looks around. The Sky City is a very advanced and futuristic one at that. Pokota, who had never been to a city before, is amazed at the sights, before realizing he's left alone again. Pokota follows Zayats before asking Lucille out to get a bite to eat. Zayats then hears loud noises coming from nearby: Kuromaru robbing a store. After a brief talk with the clerk, Zayats sets off to track down Kuromaru.

Meanwhile at a cafe, Pokota and Lucille are on a date where he tells her about the way he feels about her, but they're interrupted by Zayats, who soon catches up to Kuromaru. By the time they're out, Kuromaru runs away until he is surrounded by the gang. Kuromaru fights back and sumo wrestles Leonidas. Just as it seems like Kuromaru will win, Zayats pulls Kuromaru's hakama, making him fall belly up. Zayats finds their robbed items concealed within Kuromaru's hakama. Zayats is then smacked by Kuromaru, who regains consciousness and grabs the bag. When begged to return everything he took, Kuromaru calls in Rhinos, who comes in smashing a nearby car. Kuromaru then tells him: "Show them what happens when you go against the Wolf's wishes!" Rhinos then climbs the Sky City's highest tower and wrecks the base with a single hit, causing it to fall. The entire gang panics and runs away as Kuromaru teases them, unknowingly about to be crushed by the debris.

The quintet falls off the Sky City and into the open sea. Luckily, the quartet manages to swim to the surface, Leonidas now having their bag in hand. The gang is alarmed when they see Pokota float up the surface, unconscious. Before they can swim up to their friend, all five are picked up by a fishing vessel: the GyoGyoMaru. Seeing they had caught something else with the fish, the ship's captain orders his crew to help their unexpected guests off the load and treat them to sushi.

As Zayats attempts to reanimate Pokota by compressing his belly repeatedly with Pokota springing water out his mouth each time, the ship's crew left their guests's smelly clothes to the dry cleaner, who Leonidas instantly recognizes by her striped tail. As the "wash" takes longer than it should, Lucille goes up to check on the dry cleaner, only to find out that it's actually Kat, who was just about to burn Zayats's shirt before being stopped by Lucille. Kat reveals her plan to Lucille, breaking her seductee's heart into a million pieces.

Realizing what had happend, the captain is fuming and the crew consoles their crewmate as they tell Kat off when she reveals herself. When told to go, Kat calls in Okta, who shakes the ship very strongly, strong enough to resucitate Pokota. Thinking it's a Kraken, Pokota panics and tells everyone to jump ship, only to be slapped by Okta, who introduces himself and announces his plan to turn the ocean upside down in the name of the Wolf Army. Lucille grabs her and her friends' clothes and urges them to put them on. After being teased by Pokota, everyone puts their clothes back on, ready to take on Kat and Okta. However, the captain takes control of the fishing nets right on time, catches Kat and Okta, and sends them both flying.

At the Wolf Zeppelin, Volk is very disappointed in his crew. His tirade is cut short when he notices Minos bare-chested. Minos believes he has dishonored the Wolf Army, and that his failure would "haunt the army for generations to come" should he continue. Albeit not explicitly stated, it is very clear that Minos is attempting seppuku. Khamlyon tearfully implores his mate not to do it, but Minos doesn't listen. Right as he's about to stab himself with a wakizashi he's been brought, Volk snatches it away, and ultimately decides to give his goons one last chance, knowing that someone had sabotaged their plan.
